Otanewainuku Summit

Mt Otanewainuku is covered in virgin forest with plenty of bird life. Maori legend says Tutanekae, lover of Hinemoa, leapt from the summit to escape his Rotorua ememies! The loop track is resonable steep in parts but the view is worth the climb. A side track leads to the Whataroa Falls and some Rimu trees. About four hours return.
