Privacy Policy – Matamata-Piako District Council on behalf of Te Aroha Visitor Information Centre
Matamata-Piako District Council recognises its responsibilities under the Privacy Act 2020 and is committed to ensuring the privacy of your information. This Privacy Policy applies to all personal or other information collected on Matamata-Piako District Council’s website – www.mpdc.govt.nz.

Information supplied to the Te Aroha Visitor Information centre relating to the promotion of a business or event will be retained and managed on the website. The supplier of the information can at any time ask for it to be removed or corrected. Though this information is not private it is managed as though the Privacy Act applies.
Te Aroha Visitor Information centre does operate and access booking and other online services on behalf of customers. This information is not retained by the centre and is managed by the systems and policies of the portal or online service providers.
Matamata-Piako District Council stores personal data electronically and in paper form. The personal data is kept safe and secure using generally accepted standards of security.
