ECHO Walking Festival – Tui Domain track to Te Mara and return

Slightly uphill, this walk takes us along the gentle Tui Domain Track on Mt Te Aroha. There is a 10 minute detour to Tutumangao Falls and a view over Te Aroha township.

We will then visit ‘Te Mara’ (The Garden), the property of Michael and Judy Barker, and hear about their protected area of native bush 300 metres above the township of Te Aroha and overlooking the Hauraki Plains. Return the same way for a soak in the historic No.2 Bathhouse ($8 each and optional)

Meet at Te Aroha Visitor Information Centre at 8:45am
