ECHO WALKING FESTIVAL – Waiorongomai Low Level Loop

Waiorongomai – Te Aroha’s Golden Valley.

Join in this leisurely walk around Waiorongomai Low Level Loop and learn about the history and flora of this old gold mining area. With mining relics, regenerating bush and a few small streams, this valley is one of the North Island’s best kept secrets.

Distance: 5.5km loop

Restrictions: There are 20 spaces only for this trip so be in quick!

 Grade: 2

Duration: 2 -3 hours

Start Time: 9:00 am

Start Location: Te Aroha Information Centre, 102 Whitaker Street and carpool to the Waiorongomai Valley.
