Unsung Heroes – in Plain Sight – by Adrian Cook
In this exhibition, photographer, Adrian Cook creates unique wet plate collodion images to celebrate the everyday heroes who make a difference in our community.
This new body of work features portraits of volunteers from across the Matamata-Piako District, all captured on glass using the 1850s wet plate collodion process. These one-of-a-kind ambrotypes honour the people who quietly give their time to support our communities.
Our local volunteers’ images will be shown alongside text about their journey and the organisation(s) they support.
